You’ve spent years being who everyone else needs you to be. But who are you now?

The Permission Project is a monthly membership for women who’ve become so used to putting everyone else first that they no longer know who they are or what they want.

Join the waiting list to be the first to know when the doors open.

You’ll also get the details of the Founding Member offer, available to the first 20 women who join.

No spam or relentless emails. I’ll send you useful things while you wait and let you know when the membership opens. You can unsubscribe whenever you like.

When did “What do you want?” become such a difficult question?

Maybe you used to know.

Or maybe you’ve spent so much of your life thinking about what everybody else needs, what will keep the peace and what makes the most sense for the family that you’ve never had much practice answering it.

You know how to be the dependable one. The capable one. The person who remembers, organises, fixes, supports and makes sure everybody else is all right.

But when the question turns towards you, things get strangely difficult.

  • What do you want to eat?

  • How do you want to spend your time?

  • What do you actually enjoy now?

  • Does the life you've built still fit you?

You might have answers that sound sensible, but you’re not sure whether they’re really yours or simply the ones that cause the least inconvenience.

And underneath all of that sits a much bigger question:

Who am I when I’m not being who everybody else needs me to be?

You probably don’t need another person telling you to choose yourself

You might already understand boundaries. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, tried journalling or therapy and become quite good at recognising your patterns.

None of that was pointless.

But understanding why you keep abandoning yourself doesn’t automatically make it easier to do something different when another person is disappointed, upset or simply wants something else.

That part takes practice.

The Permission Project gives you somewhere to notice what you want, experiment with including yourself in ordinary decisions and work through what happens when your answer doesn’t suit everybody else.

Because knowing yourself isn’t something you solve once in a notebook. You get to know yourself by paying attention to your own responses, making choices and seeing what feels true when real life gets involved.

Inside The Permission Project

Each month, we’ll explore one part of knowing yourself, trusting yourself and building a life that includes you.

You’ll receive:

  • A Private Video Podcast Episode

A thoughtful conversation exploring the month’s subject in more depth, including the patterns underneath it and the questions worth asking yourself.

  • A Permission Challenge

A small experiment to try in your actual life, because this work shouldn’t exist only in your head. You might practise expressing a preference, changing your mind, saying no without producing a closing argument or choosing something simply because you want it.

  • A Live Coaching Call

Bring the situations where trying to put things into practice because a lot more difficult, especially when other people are involved. You’ll be able to submit a question in advance or bring one to the call where time allows.

  • The Replay Vault

You’ll have access to previous coaching conversations, so you can find the ones that feel relevant to what you’re dealing with now.

  • A Private Facebook Community

A place to talk honestly about what you’re noticing with women who understand the work. You can join the conversations, share what you’re experimenting with or use the space quietly.

There’s no compulsory participation, no constant stream of content and no expectation that you’ll keep up with everything.

You cannot fall behind here.

This might be for you if...

  • You’ve become very good at knowing what everybody else needs, but struggle to recognise what you need.

  • You automatically consider how your choices will affect other people before asking whether they work for you.

  • You’ve built an identity around being a wife, partner, mum, daughter, friend, employee, carer or the strong one, and you’re no longer sure who exists underneath those roles.

  • You worry that choosing yourself will make you selfish, difficult or disappointing.

  • You keep waiting to feel completely certain before making a decision, then ask several other people what they think anyway.

  • You understand your patterns, but still find yourself repeating them when guilt or somebody else’s reaction enters the room.

  • You don’t want to burn your life down and reinvent yourself by next Tuesday. You just want to know that the life you’re living contains something of you.

The aim isn’t to become someone new

It’s to become more you.

To notice what you enjoy before dismissing it as impractical.

To recognise when you’re agreeing because you want to and when you’re agreeing because disappointing somebody feels unbearable.

To let your preferences matter even when they aren’t convenient.

To make decisions without needing everybody else to confirm that you’re allowed.

And to trust that loving other people doesn’t require you to disappear from your own life.

I can help you question the rules you’ve been living by, notice the patterns you might not be able to see from the inside and practise doing something different.

But I won’t become another person whose permission you need.

Become a Founding Member

The first 20 women to join The Permission Project will become Founding Members.

Founding membership will be £25 per month or £250 per year, and your price will remain locked for as long as your membership stays continuously active.

The Founding Member offer will be limited to the first 20 paying members. Joining the waiting list doesn’t reserve a place, but it does mean you’ll hear when the doors open.

You'll also receive:

  • Permission Slips

A series of 10 short private audio messages for the moments when you know what you want to do but guilt, doubt or somebody else’s opinion has started making a very convincing case against it.

  • One Permission Pass

A chance to bring me one specific situation and receive a private audio response with questions, observations and another perspective to help you hear your own answer more clearly.

  • Lost & Found

An audio experience designed to help you notice the interests, preferences and parts of yourself that may have disappeared beneath years of responsibility.

  • Who Am I Without The Roles?

A private masterclass exploring what remains when the roles you’ve relied on to define yourself begin to change.

You don’t need to know what you want before you join

Not knowing is the reason this space exists.

You don’t have to arrive with a clear vision for your future, a list of forgotten passions or a secret dream you’re finally ready to admit.

We can start much smaller than that.

What do you want today?

What have you been tolerating?

Where have you mistaken being needed for being known?

Which parts of your life feel like yours, and which ones are being maintained because changing them might upset somebody?

The answers might not appear immediately, and some of them might change. That’s allowed.

The Permission Project isn’t about finding one perfect, permanent version of yourself. It’s about building a relationship with yourself that’s strong enough to keep asking the questions and trust what you discover.

Find Yourself Again

If you’ve spent years being who everybody else needs you to be, you don’t have to keep hoping you’ll somehow find your way back to yourself between the shopping, the work, the washing and everybody else’s minor emergencies.

Join the waiting list and I’ll let you know as soon as The Permission Project opens.

Joining the waiting list doesn’t commit you to buying anything. It simply means you’ll receive emails from me about The Permission Project and related work. You can unsubscribe at any time.
